The Department of Information and Communications has an international reputation for excellence in teaching and research. We offer a choice of routes for undergraduate study. There are Masters courses in Information Management and Library & Information Management. Doctoral studies can be undertaken in any aspect of our three research areas. These are: Access to Electronic Information, Information Management and Social Informatics. The department was awarded a grade 4 in the 2001 Research Assessment Exercise. The Department is home to the well-known Centre for Research in Library and Information Management, CERLIM.
